UNDERGROUND POSITION (INFRASTRUCTURE)

Penguin ASI underground positioning employs VLF (Very Low Frequency) technology. This system provides significant advantages such as equipment mechanization, location of personnel, mine wide asset management and much more. With a range of 2km through rock and accuracy better than 3%, this technology provides our clients with tools to enhance their production and services.

INFRASTRUCTURE MAPPING

A self-contained inertial navigation system for the positioning and mapping of infrastructures both underground and on the surface is a significant development in tunnel profiling, 3D referencing and gyro/laser surveying.  a key service offered byPenguin ASI.  Robomap™, a robotic mapping system, has the capabilities to accurately map tunnels, terrains, and complex geographical surfaces in detail and sequentially transferring the data collected into popular engineering CAD systems. A specialized military grade inertial referencing system (IRS) linked to multiple scanners provides high precision profiling while measuring roughness, roadbed quality and ground support.

Robomap™ can be adapted to PenguinASI specialized robots or tailored to your equipment for surveying, modeling and/or mapping of infrastructures, tunnels and buildings.  Combining sectional scans with positioning and altitude data in real time creates 3D maps for your referencing, a valuable service for mining, forestry, exploration and security industries. The application of Robomap™ sees many advantages, most notably its increase in safety when working in complex environments as well as its 3D visualizations, providing highly detailed images for your referencing.
